Grocery List and Menu Download

I noticed yesterday while at the grocery store that my weekly list needed an update. I decided that, while in the process, I’d make a blank one for download as well. We keep a stack of them printed up and hanging from my “information center” in the mud room. That way, instead of having to keep track of B’s every wish and whim, I just hand him a pen and tell him to put in on the grocery list. Oh, the tricky things we do to keep the marriage boat from sinking.

When I sit down to make my menu and fill out the list, I jot the week’s menu down on the right hand side, and cut that part off. Then, it’s on the fridge for inquiring minds. I find it really cuts down on the “I kind of feel like pizza tonight,” thoughts, since I already know what I’m eating for dinner.

Mine is customized for our weekly needs (B always needed tomatoes and spinach for his salads, so I just made it part of the print off), and our menu week (Thursday through Wednesday) but I’ve made the download blank and given it a Sunday through Monday menu week, just in case.

Jess, I love the concept of your blog. And the title is awesome. Did you know, my husband says “hello Wife” when he gets home in the afternoon (or I get home). The “nick-name” is meant in the sweetest possible way, and I love it.
