Flowers and Scars

Occasion: Spiderhouse with B
Tank: Target | Jeans: Vintage
Flower Pin: C/O Otis and James | Belt: Vintage

I was crazy-excited when I won the Otis and James giveaway on Lemondrop Vintage a while back. I never win anything! I was allowed to pick something from their Etsy store, so I chose this adrobs little yellow flower pin. I loved the packaging! Thank you!!

It’s the details that matter, people.

So, I’ve been living in these long and lean tanks from Target. I bought three of them, and whilst healing from a mole I had removed, (cancer-free! woohoo!) all three of them have ended up with the scar medication stains, right in the middle. So, I’ve resolved to just keep wearing them until I’m done with the scarring process, and then replace them. Meanwhile, because I’m wearing them so much, they’ve been stained with all sorts of other things… bah.

Do you have any cool scars?

    Glad you’re cancer-free! That’s great.
I have a lightning scar on my foot because I am kind of a klutz and dropped a knife on my foot while cooking in January. No joke. I had surgery to reconnect a tendon I severed. Luckily everything is much better – I can run and the puffiness is way down! And I kind of like it because I’m a Harry Potter nerd.I also had a mole removed, but it turned out to be benign, and I’m so pale you can’t even see the scar. :P

When I was 10 I leaned back on the stove, which I’d checked to make sure was off, but there was no light to say: hey, this range top was on like 20 minutes ago, so it’s still “warm”. I had perfect electric ring indentions on the old lady waddle section of my arm for a longish while. Now I just have one 1 inch scar. It’s puffy. I’m just glad the range was only “uncomfortably warm” and not “wick ass burn off your arm hot”.

Stupid Chicago winter! I probably would have noticed a lot faster if it hadn’t been fuh’reezing outside.

I have a 3″ long scar on top of my right foot from a surgery I had when I was 16 to correct a severe bunion. Yeah, like the thing that old ladies get… Before the surgery I was pretty much stuck in sneakers and now I can (and do) wear any shoes I want, much to the chagrin of my podiatrist.

I cringe to my scars! I think my worst was when I busted my chin open trying to stand on a bicycle when I was like, 7 year old. I had a ginormous band-aid on my chin for several weeks – all which made camp and swim team super awkward.

Those pants! They’re perfect on you.

I love this new header you have up there! So cute! AND THOSE JEANS! Of course I love anything high waisted, so they are right up my alley. The adorableness of them totally distracts from any weird stains, I promise. And now I want to go to Spiderhouse.

That scar sounds awesome! Maybe you’re a witch now. :) Once, I was
working on an art project, and was using a new exacto blade… which I
dropped. When I looked down it was sticking straight up through my
    thigh. That was fun! Eek.

    I want to see!

That’s pretty sweet! 3″? I would think your podiatrist would be
    pleased with his/her handiwork :)

Awww awkward youth! My sis has huge scars from a biking accident when
she was a kid… makes me wonder if bikes are actually death traps, or
    if children are? :)

Lol, thanks! I happened upon them at Buffalo Exchange one day… and
it’s been true love ever since :)

I have those scars around also. Curse of the paleys:) After 18 mos, you can hardly tell where they even were. You CAN tell that both your hair and biceps look ferosh in these outfit pics though!

I have a “cool” scar, under my left eye I was bitten by a dog at the age of like 6 or 7. I’ve had a scar there every since. Never had plastic surgery to fix it, it’s faded to the point where most people just assume it’s a birthmark but it used to be pretty noticeable. Oddly I have never tried to hide it under make-up, it’s been with me so long I think of it as kind of cool. The experience has never left me sacred of big dogs either, I love them! So it’s fun to tell people my story of it

Awesome/scary! I know a couple of people who were attacked by dogs as
children… but they still like dogs.

Those pants are so cute!  Hurray cancer-free! I have a scar from a mole removal, but it’s on my back, and not in an area that’s frequently visible, so I rarely think about it, and the remainder of my scars have been inflicted by my clumsiness/scar prone skin.  The funniest one is probably the one from walking into my bf’s bed, and the most noticeable one is about to be the one of my knee from falling on my bike (once it heals)- fortunately I tend not be super self-conscious about scarring, or I’d never be able to show my legs in public :)

You are rockin’ this simple summer look. The pin really adds a bit of pizazz! I am not sporting many scars, but I am constantly littered with bruises. My newest one is a lovely little number on my shoulder.

Welcome!
